I think i've see posters here speak well of lily gardens and was thinking of ordering some lilies from them. Question about number bulbs you get if you order 1. The site states;
"In selecting Number of bulbs per unit - 3, you will receive the discounted rate.
If you want 6 bulbs, order Quantity: 2 of Number of bulbs per unit - 3.
In selecting Number of bulbs per unit - 1, you will be charged the single bulb rate no matter the quantity."

I'm confused, can someone explain?

I've ordered from them for years now and they were very clear then and displayed a discount rate if you ordered three of a kind over the price of just one. Now they don't state a discount price for 3 so I don't know if you even get it. When they put out a paper catalog the discount was, for example and from their 2018 paper catalog:

Sarabande $6 each or 3/$16, saving $2 on 3.

When they dropped the paper catalog and went all digital I noticed many errors/mistakes and I helped them out a bit. There still seems to be oddities like this though. I see they have a contact link at the bottom of the page with a fillable box. Why don't you fill that out and for Subject state something like "I don't understand the pricing as there is no clarity on discounts on multiples" Or something like that.

How tall does it get? I was going to order two also. Their so unique looking, like little lanterns hanging down.

Mine are about 4 feet tall here.

An identical alternative and cheaper is Lilium 'Citronella'. I can't tell the difference and some think they are the same. As far as I know the jury is still out on that one though.

I have both and plant to try crossing them both ways. If I get seed they are likely to be genetically different as lilies are self-infertile. M-Z Bulb carries Citronella for 3/$12.95, significally cheaper. I hybridize lilies and especially like the down-facing ones so of course I am always looking for that type to use.

That's fake leichtlinii. I don't know why nurseries still sell that hybrid under leichtlinii name.

I was very happy with the ease and option for the Lily Garden of ordering online, though I miss those beautiful paper catalogs! They are very responsive when you email them. Jim, I hope you get those lilies you are looking for!

Well order confirmed! Ordered 2 leichtlinii, and some orienpets, 2 Sizzle, 2 Pizzaz, 2 Miss Feya, 2 Caravan, 1 Opulent and 1 Cream Luminaries. The tough part is waiting for them to arrive. Tracey I have to agree with you, i miss catalogs, they helped pass the cold winter days when we could only dream of wonderful gardens. My David Austin English Rose catalog was the most often visited book in my library. I obviously need more lilies and some help pulling weeds.

I picked an opening bud of Pizzazz last night. The sun is very bright, the yellow is actually a bit orangish. Sizzle is similar but with more red in the throat around the nectaries. High today forecast to be 100 degrees and almost that for the next five days.

That Pizzazz bloom is striking. Wow that's really scorching hot for a long time. Keep hydrated. Here on Long Island we had a hot week, in the 90's all week but it's a lot cooler this week. Makes the garden chores a lot easier. I had to work in my bathing suit and jump in the pool every hour.
