I bought this plant online and recieved it in package 1 week ago. the leaves nd flowers open during day in sunlight. Although leaves are wavy and not straight when they do open. Also, there are specks and cuts on them. there are some green smaller leaves. Stems are leggy. A problem of what do I have here?
note: the pot seems smaller than the plant size and am thinking about translpanting to another larger one.

Overall this is just the way they look. I grow many of these. Yours is not leggy, that is normal stem length.
Tomorrow I could take a closer look at mine and see if mine has marks like that.

Hi & welcome! Agree, I think it looks great for a plant that has been through the mail. Individual leaves will come and go, and you may observe seasonal behavior with a period of dormancy.

Thank you all for the quick reply!
I have heard that Oxalis goes to dormancy. I only want to know if this behaviour is seasonal or it's a consequence of certain care habits ?

Happy to reply. My experience with these is almost all in the ground, so I don't have an answer for the last question. Somebody who has had this in a pot for a while will probably offer some input.

My experience is both pots and ground. Hardy to about zone 7.
In pots it likes a lot of light. The pot can go dormant for winter if you wish. I did that with outdoor pots. In the library, well lit, it does not go dormant.
Some leaf damage may have happened outside on my potting bench.

That makes me want to dig some up & put it in a pot, but I have more pots than I can handle with stuff that can't make it outside. I guess that makes it more special in the spring when it's doing its thing.

I'd never bother having it indoors in winter in my home .. only do it in the library, people love it.
Welcome Fadi!! Hanging my head here, we have 3 large pots of this one! When it gets leggy I just turn the pot on it's side over the recycle bin and take a scissors and
cut them back to the soil. A few weeks later it's back and happy!! If they are lucky
fertilize a couple times a season. I just toss them onto the gravel floor in the under
the shelves during the winter months. I have other green color Oxalis with pink white and purplish color blooms. Love them!!

Karma, does it not survive as a landscape plant in your location?

purpleinopp, I have the three in pots on the main arbor into the front yard. The reason I have the three is due to what was found in the ground each spring. I'm
sure, they will but my pots look so sweet where they hang. I need to divide the big mom plant in the spring, so I have all sides hanging now that I lost my beloved climber that used to hang and crawl up the arbor on the last corner. It's getting hard to find ground space in our front garden these days. Thanks for asking.

I know what you mean about ground space. I did a similar thing manipulating the Oxalis bulbs I found in our mowed area, moving them under shrubs like Gardenia. It's a wonderful space for them under there.
Hope most of mine come back. The droughty summers the past few years have been hard on Oxalis bulbs.

No, I couldn't keep watering the landscape. Oxalis bulbs are always summer dormant here, but when there is also drought, they take a hit and don't come back as robust when it cools off. A lot of the smaller ones probably just shriveled up.
