From what Ive seen on the news, I feel sorry for you all.. Glad I livened you all up a little.. Neil, I purchased [bulbs], A Div7 miniature Apodanthe Hybrid, A 6wp cyclamenius[mini], a 6wp[deep pink] exh class[mini], 5 numbered seedlings ,,n.cordubensis x triandus[exh class] and a late flowering n.rupicola. also Gypsy Queen x Snook[very small- micro mini]wy...also mixing my own Pine mulch/seaweed mulch[brew] of all sorts, hoping to create something that 'works well' ''lovin the miniatures''

Anthony, do you grow your miniatures in containers? I love the little guys, but have to be thoughtful of placement so that the really tiny ones aren't hidden or overwhelmed by neighboring plants, especially the later blooming varieties (I'm a compulsive crowder, LOL).

I added a few Daffs in fall that I'm looking forward to seeing this spring.

All Saints Daffodil Show is held 1 week after Claremont in September. A very bright and family oriented show, held in the old Parsonage. BBQ's, Wine ,Celtic hARPS AND AGED wHISKY tasting ARE THE ORDER OF THE DAY'caps off'- or Coffee and Cake

Kids run around crazily and the Market inside is in full swing. Trade stalls ,even vegies!



I took out 'open' Bulbicodium 1st 2nd 3rd- with a brilliant selection of Conspicuus. Took a lot of pics for the ATP register as well

I am seeing little holes where I planted daffodil bulbs last year... I though squirrels didn't like daffodil bulbs!?

Maybe they are just desperate after the winter we had?

Another daff lover here. Waiting for my daffs to emerge. Some just starting. It was still 27 degrees last night and suppose to get into the 50's today but back down the middle of the week. I planted several new varieties myself last year from some trades, can't wait to see the bloom if they bloom this year. Squirrels dig a lot of hole in my garden but they are just looking for the walnuts they planted last fall. I will add pictures as they come into bloom. I have many that were my mothers and she did not mark them.

OK, maybe the squirrels didn't get them. So far only a few of my bulbs have even poked above the soil yet.

My 'Micro Mini' Daffodil order arrived tonight.. Woo Hoo!!!!

I noted some clumps w/ flower buds forming yesterday.

My 'Voodoo 6yy' arrived today 3 good bulbs from 'Jacksons' .. February gold 6yy .'.Ingenue 6wp ' and a bonus 'Rowitta' 2wp.........Woo Hoo!!!!!!

Jo Ann, when would you best describe blooms [early or mid] ?

I could guarantee Mid. I cant find my files for them but am still looking.
Found them, dated March thats early here.BUT the year is 2012 which was exceptional.

February Gold bloom early here, usually while the large flowered Crocus are blooming, and the same time Tete a tete and Lent Lily (N. psuedonarcissus) are blooming.
