Hi everyone,

I think I have figured out what my problem is with the bean plants.

You see, my beans have really been struggling. I couldn't figure out why until today. I'm attaching pictures of what's going on.

You see, the leaves are getting all these spots. I couldn't tell what was going on.

Being an amateur microbiologist, I pulled out my microscope. I took off one of the affected leaves, and got a small sample.

I looked at it in a healthy area at 100x magnification.

When I looked at an affected area at 100x magnification, I saw this.

I immediately thought to myself "that's definitely a fungal infection."

Now my question. How can I deal with a fungal infection? Do I need to take the plants that are affected out of the garden? Do I need to use a fungicide or something? What do I do? I've never experienced this.

Could someone help me figure out the best thing to do?

Fungi are ubiquitous and always willing to exploit any opportunities offered. The odds are much higher that the plant suffers from cultural conditions it's not programmed to tolerate, and the resident pathogens are more a symptom of as opposed to the cause of the decline.
