Can a crape Myrtle be used as a bonsai plant?

I think any plant can be used as a bonsai. You would have to work around crepe myrtle propensity to grow a brush at the end of cuts.

I attempt to keep the crepe myrtle in my front yard small. It's not easy because of their peculiar growth habits but like I said, I don't see why not.

Hi & welcome! I would start with cuttings. Faster and you'll be sure to get a specific flower color. CM is a great bonsai candidate, IMVHO, because of the small leaflets.
