Belladonna lily (naked lady) grew leaves in spring and now the leaves have totally disappeared. Any one grow these and know what happened?

Amaryllis belladonna? There is Amaryllis specific forum. I am sure people there would be more helpful. Thumbs up

This is normal. Leaves in the spring, then die back. Bloom stalks appear in the fall. Lots of photos of leafless bloom stalks in the data base here:

Naked Lady (Amaryllis belladonna)

They are not actually related to lilies. They are in the Amaryllis family. Just remember where you planted them since there is a long period of time from leaf appearance and bloom. I'm sure they are doing fine.

Thank you for the information. I was nervous that they maybe rotted in the ground. I had no idea they were in the Amaryllis family. So I appreciate that.

They also call these Surprise lilies, because one day they just pop out from under the soil with a flower stalk ready to flower. I would expect them to emerge within weeks. Enjoy them!
