Our Roberta Bondar roses have black spot going almost all the way up, we have had and unusual amount of rain this summer, attached is a photo. Should we prune them back this fall?

Pruning is normally done in very early spring. The rose uses carbohydrates stored in its canes over winter.

Remove the leaves with blackspot and spray with a good, hopefully, organic fungicide. Throw the affected leaves away in garbage or burn them as they carry blackspot.

Mike is correct about pruning....a lot of damage ( too much die back of the stems ) can be done if you prune before winter.
