Does anyone by chance have a Bettina? This is the rose introduced by Meilland in 1953. I got mine from Vintage in 2005, but I lost it several years ago, and I really miss it. Meilland has introduced two others by this name since, but I want the 1953 one. I'm crazy for orange roses and roses with great veining, and this one has both. I fell in love with it at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden, and immediately ordered it from Vintage at the time. Seems like a long shot, but I thought I'd try! Unfortunately, I never took a pic of mine.

Fortunately, it still grows at the San Jose Heritage, so it's at least somewhere.

I used to have it, but it has been gone for many years. According to our database, Beth Hanna has it, but she may have entered that information before the fire.

Thanks Zuzu, Beth's made it through the fire (barely), and last time we traded two years ago, she was going to make one for me when it grew more. Roseseek contacted her, and apparently hers is still small, but she remembered I wanted it!

Yes, unfortunately my plant is still trying to recover. I have someone else who wants her as well. As soon as she gets bigger, I will get rooting some. I might try giving her some epsom salts here pretty soon. Might help get some new shoots coming up.
