Hi all
I received this rose last year as bare root It flowered well
This year I pruned it and I was surprised to see some white chalky substance on the stems and clear sap from where I had pruned it
What is it and what do I do

Hi Tkhan,

This looks like rose scale to me. I would spray/saturate the canes with a horticultural soap or all-season horticultural oil.
