Hi
Purchased lovely bare-root roses. They've awoken from dormancy: green, new growth nubs and sprouting stems, small leaves.
I'm in Boston [6b] with last frost, roughly, April 20th.
I'd like to plant now given they're 'growing.' Is this safe?
Thank you!

Yes, plant them now. They need to be developing a root system to support those new leaves and buds.

Great, Lucy. Thank you! These were yellow, so I bought them asap, hoping I could plant soon.

Get them into the ground. If you get a hard freeze, you can throw an old blanket or something over then to protect them from the cold.
It's a rose!!! It has nothing to do with life and death.

Ken,
thank you! That's a great idea about keeping them toasty and warm
