Adeniums Bookworm Cactus and Succulents Composter Master Gardener: Florida Orchids
This plant was given to me by a friend who can't remember what it is or what the flowers are like. He said it vines, dies back in the cold.
I planted it in my standard succulent mix to the same depth that it had been planted and it seems to be recovering. There are flower buds in the leaf axils and the leaves are starting to become more palmate.

Maybe a variety of Stephania

One for comparison is Stephania (Stephania venosa)

Any chance that this is a Caudiciform morning glory ?, bloom will be very useful to ID it.

I feel a little foolish, I never considered Ipomoea but it does look like a viable possibility. The flowers will definitely show if that is correct. I. platensis is the cover picture of 'Pachyforms' a book by Phillipe Vosjoli, and I have that book. I'll post a picture as soon as a bud opens.

Well, Ipomoea has been ruled out. The flowers only have male parts. That leads me to Adenia because the flowers look like A. keramanthus which I have in bloom now (also a male plant) but the vine is thicker and the leaves are different. I'm back and forth now on either A. volkensii or A. ellenbeckii. Anyone have way to differentiate the two? The last photo is of A. keramanthus flower.
