Apropos, for your enjoyment, this poem...

Silver

Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in silver feathered sleep
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

I don't have a moon garden although I do grow a tall white phlox named David it also has a nice scent. I have a friend that has a moon garden one of the daylilies she grows is Rainbow Radiance, I like this daylily so much that I grow it in my garden. I enjoyed reading about your lovely garden.

I looked up 'Rainbow Radiance'; beautiful color and form on that daylily. (I have few diploids in the garden now, and I prefer my daylilies to be much taller... but still, that is beautiful. If I can find a raised bed somewhere, I might acquire it.)

Update on the Moon Garden... pictures taken within the past two weeks (I am adding/moving plants around):

Moon Garden north path, at dusk

Thumb of 2013-08-23/Polymerous/be63d2

This was shot at dusk, without a tripod, and the photo was unedited (except for sharpening). The daisy is Shasta daisy 'Angel Daisy' (I recently added three of these to the north pathway). Just behind that is the white-flowered society garlic Tulbaghia violacea 'Alba'. The Pelargoniums (two seen) are 'Rocky Mountain White'. Penstemon 'Holly's White is in the background. (The daylilies are, clockwise from 9 o'clock, 'Gadsden Icicle', 'Luna', and 'Beautiful Edgings'. 'Luna', although appropriately named for this garden, is getting expunged this fall; the scapes are somewhat weak and the blooms too close to the foliage for my liking.)

The stepping stones were chosen especially for the Moon Garden, both for their overall light color (for moonlight/dawn/dusk), but also for the subtle variation of color during the day. (Of all the rocks and stones that went into this garden, this is the only one whose name I clearly remember: 'Three Rivers'.)

Rosa 'Marie Bugnet'

I talked about this rose earlier in this thread, I think...and was considering deleting it due to non-performance. I'm having second thoughts now... this is only its second year, and it seems to finally be settling in... and propagating? I found what I thought was perhaps a chance seedling a foot or so away, and then about 10 days ago, discovered another plant coming up a foot away from that! I'm beginning to think that maybe these are suckers. (I'm not going to dig to investigate until winter, when the Gaura will be cut back and out of the way.) Pictured in the photo are the Gaura, the rose, Penstemon 'Holly's White', and the variegated Euphorbia 'Tasmanian Tiger'. (I had a variegated Euonymous in that spot, but something kept eating it. Nothing bothers the Euphorbias, lol!)

Dahlia 'Eveline', Moon Garden south path, at dusk

Thumb of 2013-08-23/Polymerous/6e5144

This is not a great photo; it was also taken without a tripod, at dusk. (The image was so dark that I had to fiddle with the exposure in PhotoShop.), Shown here mostly as another illustration of how the white blooms just "pop". Also seen are Salvia 'Navajo White' and Penstemon 'Holly's White (at the upper left).

Dahlia 'Eveline' daytime

While I like this dahlia, it is somewhat tall at 40", and the flower not all that large (somewhere around 3-3.5"?). It was originally closer to the house, but it was too shaded there, and flopped into the pathway from a small doorway landing. I moved it into more sun, but now it is just a bit too tall for the surrounding plants, so that it sticks out not attractively. Either this fall or (more likely) next spring, I will move it back closer to the house - but still in full sun - where the surrounding plants (at least by mid-summer) are taller and will go better with it.

Eveline has always been one of my favorite , even if I don't own one *Blush*

Do you have to dig and store your tubers?
I know you have told me your zone but I have forgotten. Maybe you could put it on your top bar information . I can tell a lot about ones gardening conditions by their zone Smiling

I am a bit rushed right now; I will try to remember to update the zone later. (I think it is Zone 9b, but Zone 9b here in the arid West is, I am sure, a different situation than Zone 9b in the humid South.)

Given our zone, no, I don't dig and store the dahlias that are in the ground. (I have learned, however, that I cannot leave the potted ones out over winter; that will kill them.)

That is striking!

Sorry that I don't have room for it...but if we ever move, that is something to keep in mind, when re-creating the Moon Garden.

That is another option if I cannot find any cheap plants. I will probably wait till spring unless I see a real bargain. Whistling

The ones I started from seed didn't bloom until the second year (just this year) and are still fairly small. But you may have better results in your zone. Smiling And I only ended up with 2 plants, one of which is still in a pot and amazingly survived sitting out over the winter in that pot!
