Hello Toni,

We are pretty sure what you have there is Peace. The one picture you sent shows a ball-like petal formation in the center and that is a trait very typical of Peace.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Dawn

Well, looks like I have Peace. Spent way too much for Peace. Peace is a Home Depot / Walmart rose. Spent $35 on this one. Bleh. Oh well, there's always next year. Kinda ironic that I have Peace planted right dab next to Memorial Day...

Didn't Weeks offer to send you the correct rose or a gift certificate or something? If they mislabeled it, they should replace it.

I killed several peace roses. They didn't survive the winter here. While they lived, they were straggly, covered in black spot, and stingy with blooms. the blooms were beautiful and fragrant, but the shrub wasn't. I got the peace roses at a big box store when I first started gardening, so it may not have been the rose's fault.

I have two plants of Peace here in 5b. They grow well and i love the bloom. I see them all over town...even in neglected gardens.

Thanks, Sue! Some roses are simply so distinctive, no matter how they vary from place to place or season to season, there is just enough about them that's "right" they "tell you" their names. I agree, if you bought Perfect Moment from Week's and they SENT you Peace, they owe you something. Besides, no matter how pretty a Perfect Moment bloom may be at that "perfect moment", it's definitely NOT worth $35!
