Teri, kitties travel well! Our Nova loves car rides. You could also bring along a collapsible kitty condo, so your kitty always has a familiar place to sleep and do his/her "business".

Thank you, Nicole and Sandy.

Teri, kitties are very good at amusing themselves. If you're going away for only a few days at a time, you can simply leave lots of food and water and not worry about the kitty. It won't pine away or hold a grudge, the way other pets might. If you go away for more than a couple of days, you'd need someone to come over each day to replenish the food and water supplies -- and to clean the litter box if it's an indoor kitty.

Oh, my! These California gardens just leave me breathless! All the beautiful roses, and the iris looking so healthy and that lovely pale yellow color on some of them! You have created a garden paradise of roses, zuzu. I have heard through the 'garden vine' that your gardens are stunning. So right! Thank you for the lovely tour. I thought I had enough roses but now...Veilchenblau. What a color!

Zuzu, your gardens are so lovely. What gorgeous roses! And your irises aren't half bad either, LOL.

Loved having a cuppa in your garden. I think seeing hoses in a garden means that the gardener lives there and is a hands-on gardener and I for one appreciate that.

Zuzu, I surely wish I could have seen your garden in bloom when I visited, but it was too early except for the camellias. I hope I can make it out there again some time -- some spring or summer day.

Exactly! Seeing the everyday objects lets us all appreciate the work... that it's not just a once a week garden team coming in for upkeep, but a daily love affair by the garden's owner!

Sorry I haven't written and told you how much I enjoyed your garden tour. Northern California must be a beautiful place and such a great place for gardeners. Looking forward to many more pictures this year.
Thanks for the tour

Thank you, Stephanie, but are you sure it shouldn't be a "sanity saver"? Unless, of course, you are insane about gardening, as I must confess I am.

Zuzu you are so right about the Sanity Saver and yes I am insane over gardening. There is not a day that goes by that I am not thinking about or doing something with gardening.

Thank you, Sandi. I'll take some more pictures this year. Nothing looks that good yet. We've had weeks and weeks of rain, so the poor bulbs really took a beating.

LOL! Well, at least you're not under snow, teeheehee! We still have a little snow, and it's been snowing off and on for the last few days, but..... it did warm up some this afternoon late, and did melt most of the new stuff. Spring will be here some time tho! Really makes me envious of a longer growing season tho, seeing your beautiful yard! Do you have any lawn areas? I love your chaos! Hope I can expand some of my areas and take out more grass this year. We will still have grassy areas for the grandkids, tho, cuz they need room to run!

I used to have a lawn when my son was small. He used it as a play area and I enjoyed using it for picnics, but he grew up and moved away and the lawn eventually came out to make room for more flower beds.
