Zuzu ... you have created a beautiful garden; each and every area is a work of art! The lovely kitties are as pretty/handsome as each flower. As I gaze at each of your photo's I think "Oh WOW, that's my favorite" ... until I move to the next. It's truly difficult to select a favorite but I especially love that purple rose with the long name (that at first I thought was a Clematis), it's absolutely stunning; and the Wisteria is pretty amazing too as is each and every bloom in your garden!

Thanks so much for sharing photo's of your garden paradise, I can only imagine how amazing it must be in person!

Susie, it's not only the wisteria I fear. Hilarious! I have a few roses and camellias that also threaten to engulf everything in their path.

Lin, thanks so much for the kind words. Smiling

Super video!

I've always had a tribe. Currently, the grand old man is Montgomery, who wasn't included in the first round of photos. He has outlived his brother Rorschach (and many, many other cats) and will be 22 in a few months.

Hi Zuzu,
thank you for viewing my tribe,
your tribe have lovely names,..Ambrosia,..Chantilly,..Desiree,..Rorschach,..Jasper,..Lampia,..Mambo,..Pepplegoose,..and of course the old boy Montgomery,..nearly 22 years old,..they are great company in the garden and pop up in front of the camera when least expecting,..none are camera shy lol.

We had a big Feral Tomcat in our area who terrified every cat and some neighbors,..rather than shoo him away i tried for three months to make friends with him,..finally he allowed me to hand feed him then stroke him,..he remained in my garden area and sired a litter of kittens,..one is his double,..he would lie with his kittens when the mother cat was away,..alas he went walkabout when i was away on holiday,..some neighbor put something in his food.

Thank you, Vickie.

What a fierce boy he was in that video, Philip! More than half of mine came from feral colonies. They're trapped and neutered, and then they're brought to my home, where I tame them. Some take more time and effort than others, but it's a safe environment, so they eventually turn into lovable sweeties.

Yes Wild Thing was a big boy and a fierce one,..food and conversation won the day.

Zuzu, thanks for sharing your stunningly beautiful gardens. They are wonderfully lush, with lovely color and shape combinations. You obviously put your heart and soul, as well as a lot of work into them. Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up
I am a fellow cat lover too, though I no longer let mine out. I am in an urban environment and it is too risky to do so. I recently lost two of my beloved kitties, one at age 22 and one at age 20. My remaining boy and I were lonely so we got a rescue kitten. He is quite the busy little boy, and I named him Buzz...because that's what he does all the time!
Thanks again for sharing.

Love the gardens and all the cats.
Latter; but maybe not in my garden.

We're cat people, but the neighbour's cat took to using my potting soil as a cat box.
Thankfully our girl cat, Pebbie, was fiercely territorial.

One bite on the bum (hence the abscess routine), from Pebbie's single canine, did eventually solve the problem.
I was happy, but Geronimo (despite the name, also a girl) then took to sitting on top of the fence and leering at Pebbie.
Pebbie was always insulted by this behaviour, but being rather elderly she could never reach Geronimo to finish her off.

It's amazing how homicidal nice cats can seem!

It is amazing that so many different personality types are exhibited by cats. Other people's cats usually avoid my garden, probably because of the number of cats already living here.

So true, Zuzu.

For that matter, the same cat can have a different personality for different occasions.
Pebbie was extremely affectionate to her family (namely, us) and very supportive of her adopted brother, Buddy (who was much larger than her and a big coward).
But when it came to defending her property (from any animal or bird) she was a raging maniac.

On one occasion, I saw a revolving ball in the garden, with fur flying out in all directions, accompanied by terrible screaming.
It was just like the classic cartoon depiction of a cat fight.
All I could think to do was introduced a broom into the battle.
They both fell down, one rapidly took off, while Pebbie looked like she was declaring herself the winner.

Interesting: a good cat deterrent, another cat!

@Charlie: Boy, you said it !
I only have 2 cats: A 19 lb. red male tabby and an 8lb. black very thickly furred female.
The male is afraid of his own shadow, will only associate with ME, and is the most skittish cat I've ever owned.
The female RULES the ROOST here. She despises all other cats (yet loves people) and bosses the red one around like you wouldn't believe...and he takes it !
She says, "jump" and he says, "how high and in which direction ?"
She won't allow any other cat to enter the property regardless of how big they are. One tough cookie, for sure.

Funny isn't it, Mike.

They all have their personalities.

We always used to boast the Buddy was "the dirtiest cat in the world".
One of the qualifying behaviours was his routine of vacuuming up his food so fast in the kitchen,
that he could then vomit it up on the living room carpet.
It often required active intervention by us (while it was being cleaned up) to prevent him from tucking into it again.

You can't image how many times I threatened him with hire consequences, but he never lost his appetite.
