We got no rain last night but they are saying today will be a stinker with bad storms. Just what I need on top of everything else. I am moving plants around just in case. They say after the storms, the cold front will move in and I just can not take a chance of something happening to my two star jasmine. They are older and the heat yesterday turned some of their leaves brown. I am just beside myself. Grumbling Angry Rolling my eyes.

Still humid but getting cloudy. Not sure what it is going to do. North Jersey had some storms earlier but we are still in the holding pattern I guess.

Was at work and just finishing up with lunch service and all of a sudden the water just started coming up through the floor and fast. Didn't even realize it was pouring cats and dogs outside. Anyway six inches of water, soaked feet and no one hurt or slipped on the floor. Stayed a few hours extra to help with the cleanup . Luckily nothing got damaged and the power water vacs going non stop til the water was out. It's a bit cooler out now that the storm went through but I think more is on the way.

My daughter lives 20 minutes from me...last night she had a micro burst come through her town. I counted 7 trees down on a 4 mile stretch....she has 3 broken windows on her garage from hail as big as quaters. At the same time in Northern Maine 2 tornado's touched town. Also in Cornish Maine a funnel cloud was captured on film forming, a pole was the only thing damaged in that town.
Right now we are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10pm and flash flood warnings until 6am.

Severe thunderstorm warning now for us til 10pm. The rain is coming down in sheets. The thunder is so loud its shaking the house. When the lightening hits it lights up the house. I'm guessing my kitchen at school is flooding once again today.
Celeste stay safe.

No rain and we could use it to help put out the fire on Seaside Hts. Out of control, lack of water (????how that can be on an island) high winds made this fire a 6 alarm and burning totally out of control. My heart is broken again for these people. We could use some heavy rain NOW.

North Jersey just got slammed with a wicked thunderstorm. Waiting for the power to come back on. It's been out for over an hour. So sad to hear about Seaside and the out of control fire. Just got word a few fire fighter friends where called in to help. Hoping for a safe return home tonight for them

I had a doctor appt last night.. picked up dogs by Michele.. and came home.. saw numerous cars under water or broken down because of floods.. blew my mind how fast the rain came down.. it was just starting in Hasbrook Heights when we left the office.. 5 mins away in saddle brook.. flooded everywhere.. took us a little over an hour to get home .. which wasn't bad considering how crazy everything was.. looks like our power flipped off for a few mins only.. lost 3 mins on the stove clock

my heat breaks for the seaside boadwalk.. 8 blocks burned up.. just fixed from Sandy and now gone again.. feel horrible for the business owners

Got very little rain, no storm at all. Very much cooler this morning and cloudy. Have a pleasant day and pray for those poor souls at Seaside Park. Christie is speaking at 10:30 this morning to update us on the fire.

2 1/4" of rain last night. Cooler air (in the 70s) feels great.
