Ming Porcelain - sometimes it doesn't do great in cool weather. Then again, when it's warm the color is fabulous!

Peach Magic. I already mentioned that occasionally it does have problems with cool weather, but is simply luscious when it's warm.

Rosemary Dixon, FFO. She's great when it's warm, but pretty sad looking when it's cool.

Spacecoast Fancy Dancer. Absolutely not a cool weather dl. For that matter, the bloom itself is considerably smaller (at least in my garden) than its registration. Love the gold-dusting, though.

The ever reliable Spanish Glow! She bloomed sporadically throughout the winter, and opened beautifully!

Tuscawilla Princess, FFO. Seems to open fine in cool weather. Yet here is an example of a dl that is supposed to be blushed with pink, and yet in my garden is peachy.

Tuscawilla Tranquillity. Very, very floriferous. Occasionally, one out of 5 blooms won't open all the way on a cool day, but because there are so many others opening fine, it's not a big deal.

And this is just for fun! : ) Last year, an egret came to visit in my garden, and I actually have pics of him stalking and eating a salamander. I guess he must like it here, since he came back again today. And precisely the same scenario ensued as last year. My cat, Kirby, decided he was man enough to take on an egret (they're pretty big), and his stalking scared the bird away.

Susan, I forgot to mention that I love your cats, too! I've frequently seen Kirby taking a nap under the daylily foliage, just like your white one. : )

I just love cats , I love them in the garden too. Thank you for sharing your story about your cats Jules. I have nine and they give me plenty to smile about every day. They're my constant companions.

Elizabete, You sure have some beautiful daylilies. I just love Kitty Wells. That egret is a pretty interesting looking bird. What a sight he must have been.

I had a couple more blooms today. It was a chilly low 60's, so they're not looking as good as they could with some warmth. Hopeit warms up by the time more of my daylilies bloom.

CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL second bloom for this one. Didn't do too bad opening in cool weather, but the bloom is smaller than what's registered.

Not a good bloom at all. I'm sure it will improve.

Here is one that I did not have a tag on. Well, I had a tag, but the ink wore off... so I had to wait until it bloomed to know what it was. I have a half dozen or so that don't have the AAA markers yet, and all the Sharpie wore off over winter. At least each one is distinct enough to know for sure what it is when it blooms.

Stealth Bomber - such a lovely rosy purple! First bloom - will become more sculpted as it blooms more.

Nice purple Jules. Your cats are sweet. Glad they found a good home with you. Ginger reminds me of my fat Sophie.

Bev, I really like Madiba Magic !

Elizabeth, you have lots of lovely pale ones. I looked up Carr's discription of Living in Luxury and he refers to it as having a distinct pleated and ruffled form, accented with large looping ruffles. I think it's the center that looks pleated. Almost looks like some angel wings around the edge. Here's Special Ovation. I think it has some small angel wings too, but like you not sure exactly how large they have to be to be wings. What a wonderful view you have! Hope the erget returns.

one of my seedlings - diploid

I've been trying to figure out if this is good enough to intro. I don't know much about doubles. I have this out at two other gardens, and it is doing well. It does not have a great bud count, but it blooms a lot. I counted over 20 scapes on my medium size clump.

It is a pretty pink.

ElizabeteRutens - I believe Pat Stamile was first to use the term Angel Wings. I found this description of one of his flowers that explains the meaning.

Nutmeg Elf -- was moved late this spring, and I probably should have cut the scapes off. I really enjoy this one when it blooms.
