Now both batches of kalanchoe seed mixs are germinating now. Hurray!

Also I shall post pics of my Euphorbia seedlings tomorrow. Because they are out of the bag so it is easier to take pics of them.

They are adorable!
I think the rule of thumb is to start feeding with the second set of true leaves, and feed at half strength.

I am afraid to fertilizer young plants. I have never had good results. I myself wait one year but using diluted strength may be the answer.
Great job your doing.

I want to pay special attention to this little one.

I am so afraid of fertilizer. A little too much and it spells death. 'They' say when the roots develop, start with a diluted mix. This is where the plantsmen differ from the hobbyist. My self, I would wait until at least 5 months old. And using 1/4 stated amount.
In nature, they grow along a hill side with little or no humus, just rock, sand, some clay. So I have been lead to understand. Having never done this before with Aloe's. All I can say is keep us informed so we can learn.

The potting medium it is in now is made up of plain potting soil and an oil dry product the potting soil would have some nutrients in it.
Also I read on a site that feeding them too much will cause them to grow too fast leading to a plant with a less defined sprial.
So I'll play it safe and wait a few months.
Thanks for the advice.

Adam,
Looking on the internet. Use a natural organic base fertilizer. They are safer than the chemical ones. Less chance of burning the young seedlings. Seaweed kelp base is also a plant stimulant. But using them in the past, is very smelly. Maybe a drop or two will not be too bad.

Adam, i dont fertilize i change the soil on everything every other year and have at least 1 quarter of the soil be some box store potting soil. i agree with stush fertilizer can kill and has salt. try fish emulsion i dont think you can kill or overdo that. i have a koi pond and i water out of that for the yard seems to do good that is like emulsion with all the poo in it
