I agree with Hetty and Kate,
You purchased some rare plants and costly. So by seed it is affordable for you and showing in the plant data base is very helpful for new comers. Also follow up with updates showing to full plant.
Adam, you have proved yourself a seedsman.

Yes it does Adam. At this early stage, it is very unstable. After it produces it's 3 true leaf.

I decided sense these are such cool plants I'm keeping these first two and will offer anymore that come up for trade.

Here is a pic of one of my Euphorbia ambovombensis it has three seed leaves.

I can't wait to see what the mature plant will look like.
The other one came in with the regular two seed leaves I'm keeping it too.

One of my Pachypodium gracilius seeds germinated I marked it as adam and it's the one I'm keeping. I'll post a pic after it fully breaches the surface. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Adam,
Have you read 'By Rick Corey (@RickCorey) on December 23, 2014 All Things Plants'?
About Hydrogen Peroxide. I use it also and seems to really helps. In a spray bottle, 2 cups of water and a tablespoon or two of Hyd. Per. Spray down foliage and young seeds. I knew this before but I like the way he puts it together. I read about it helping cure rotted roots but I was never successful with it. If plants can take the lower ph. I think sulfur has the most to offer to reduce root rot. That's why I use Sulfur and super phosphate in their water. I am afraid to use strong nitrogen fertilizer. A known killer of young plants. Most of these plants if not all of them come from areas void of nutrients.

Now I have both P. brevicalyx and P. densiflorum.

P. brevicalyx is a variant of P. densiflorum.

Stush, I have started using some sulphur in my plant's lives, too....I have a large cascade of planters that were planted with succulents in Septemberish and I have been worried lately about the moist, cold air we've been getting here...been gradually sprinkling in bits of sulphur for about 3 weeks and everyone has been rot-free so far. I don't know if it's the sulphur or not, but I can tell you that some dead-looking pachypodiums erupted a bunch of leaves and some of the echeverias started makin' babies. Big Grin
What brand do you use? I've just been using the Hollytone organic sulphur (the one where they advertise "make your hydrangeas blue")
These photos were taken from my bedroom window because it was too darn cold to go outside...

Fungus has a hard time growing in a lower ph than in neutral soil. So there's some benefit already. Also plants in their proper ph level can absorb more of the nutrients out of the soil for growth. Also check (and I know it's hard) to see what is the prefect ph level for your plants. Not all plants like lower ph.
I used an off brand of Surfer and sorry I didn't buy the 'Hollytone'. Mine is ruff sulfur cakes right from the supplier. I worked for a Coke and Iron company before retirement and we made those Sulfur cakes from by-products of heating coal into coke.

I ordered one last packet of seeds. I ordered some Dorstenia gypsophila seeds. Green Grin!

I won't be able to buy anymore plants or seeds in February because of bills and stuff I gotta buy to survive.

But if I can't get any Pachypodium brevicalyx to germinate and live (the last two died because I fiddled with them too much) I may try one more packet.

I'm doing trades for 4 more plants In march and april on another forum.
So I'll have plenty of plants. My big plant table is getting pretty full. Whistling

Booooo.....I read that they need light to germinate, and to place them in the medium with their pointy end facing up but don't bury them...keep them moist but not wet, etc etc....is that what you did? I planted mine December 9th and haven't gotten a thing. Guess it's truly time to give up on them!
