Just now saw this thread. Jean, your quilts are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found this blooming -- the former owner planted it & it was going dormant by the time we moved in last year so I had to wait until it bloomed to discover what it is. A double blooming mini daffodil "Earlicheer" --- VERY fragrant!

I would have never thought Daffodil at first. What a great beautiful leftover from the past owner. Smiling

WARM weather for the foreseeable future!!!!! Does that mean I will start seeing some green mixed in with the brown? I sure hope so!!!!! And the plants are coming out of the shed & GH today.....maybe they can stay out this time!!!!!!

Going to a Nursery today. Hoping something will follow me home.

Did notice flowers on the Azaleas on the far side of the yard yesterday. I need to trim them back this year & fertilize better.
Blessed are the Quilters for they are the Piecemakers.

The seedlings outgrew the set up I had on the DR table & were relocated out to the GH.

I've been saving all sorts of boxes for months to make the biodegradable planters you see here.

Those are Vanda roots habging down from the roof.

The tomatoes were at least 6" high. I pushed them down in the pots to (hopefully) give then a stronger stem/roots. Sure hope it stays warm - or they will have to sit on the Sun porch.

I never did get a good overhead light for them - just used 2 Ott lights.

The Red Bud is blooming! Some things are greening up and am trying to pull the place together....We were just lucky and were able to almost dodge the freeze bullet a lot this year here. Only very minor damage on anything fortunately....Lots of weeding and amending ahead...Yuck;...But it will be worth it in a few weeks! Smiling

Just transplanted thes African Irises and sprinkled a nice Wildflower blend all in the front with allysum along the edges and Giant Zinnias in the back. We will see how it comes out in a month!

That's going to be so pretty, David. Can't wait to see it all bloom.

Do the Zinnias go all the way through summer for you? I've had them peter out on me in the heat.

My mango tree is in nearly full bloom, about 2 months late, but I'm not complaining. Hope the cold weather later this week doesn't zap all the blooms!

Right, not worried about frost. But cool, dampness is sometimes a recipe for Anthracnose fungal disease and the blooms are especially vulnerable.

Like the parrot in that Monty Python skit, 'we're not dead, we're just resting' David.

Not much happening around here except oak tree pollen and stinky mango blooms!
