Did not get the GH yet. Need to go back & take a better look at it. Get the dimensions. Then decide if I want it or the larger rectangular one.

The seeds will do great if you start them now for late April. You can use the paper towels if you like but I never have. I tip my hat to you.

Save those tall Crape Myrtle stalks when you trim them back now!!!

I bundle them and dry them in the rafters in my old Garage. Crape Myrtle dries into a very hard wood indeed and the stakes can be used for trellises and such and last a couple of years.

Had I know, I could have had a zillion from the ones they were trimming along the road the other day. So I guess I'll add pruning Myrtle to my to-do list for the weekend.

Not blooms. Not edible. Not fruit, but always beauties!

This new Ressurection fern box put together from a big ole' clump from a friends yard, is gonna' be fun to develop with suitable succulents and small bromeliads this new season coming.

We lucked out down here with the weather this go around, as it only got down to 41 these last couple of days. Its only 45 still now; but am not complaining since tommorrow we rise again.

Will borrow a wheel barrow from my neighbor. Hopefully I can borrow their grandson also!!!!! Hopefully move this batch & get another load early next week.

If only the sun would come out!!!!!!

"the rare and mysterious Siamese Camellia" ? Or an orchidiot would name it Felineavola camelliensis 'David's Spank' with a couple more words in there with a lot of syllables making no sense.

We barely reached 50 today, but . . . Tomorrow, Florida weather returns!! Seattle can have this cold grey stuff back any time.

At least the rain barrels are all full for now! These guys are busy blooming away in my kitchen. Enjoying them, except for the ants and geckos that came in with them.

Finally seeing blooms on my mango tree! Usually it starts in December and is in full flower by mid-January but seems everything this year is late. Maybe because it stayed warm so long through the fall?

New crop of broccoli coming along, it really is MUCH sweeter since it's had some chilling. Cool weather helps keep flowers on the orchids longer, too. These are over a month old now.

Its amazing, but that flower still looks the same as it did when I sent the picture. I do have to replace the water daily as Spank has found a favorite new watering hole. He has nibbled a tad on it Jean. Smiling

You're dang' good at creating fantasy flower name Elaine! That Broccoli is looking great and the cool weather is a plus for the greens. They are loving this cold gray damp stuff these days. This week some will be wilting in the 80's again. What a roller coaster of weather we ride here in Florida this time of year. Its downright muggy here today.

My Orchids seem happy in the 30's. Who knew? They used to be considered difficult in the past? I find them some of the least demanding plants I have these days! Smiling

What is that last beautiful shades of pink one?

Mmm, the colorful Swiss Chard looks like it's ready for your 'girls' to come and snack on it again, David!

That last orchid is a little orphan named Lc. Renate I picked up from a local grower who went out of business. Sure has been a good bloomer for me for 2 years now.

It's so true that some orchids like the cooler temps. I left all my Phals (mostly rescues from the death rack at Lowe's) outside through the cold snaps, and they all look fine. One even has a flower spike coming on strong! Some need a dip in temperature to stimulate them to bloom. I think that as long as you don't "shock" them by moving outside from a greenhouse or indoors, they harden to the outdoor variations pretty well.

In th 50's the Moth Orchids were the 'it factor' here in Florida. I have ten or so that are soon getting ready to burst with multiple stems each. I have a simple Orchid collection, but love them for their hardiness. Smiling

Today I will fling open the shed & GH doors & let all the plants escape!!!!! They will be so thrilled to be warm again.
Heck, I'll be thrilled to be outside & warm!!!! Was stuck inside with the quilters yesterday. By the time we were done, only got to enjoy an hour of the nice weather.........................

Hopefully I;ll find something photo worthy when I empty the shed & GH.

30 min till Phil is dragged out.....................

Amen! It seemed like a full week gray, cold, damp and drizzly here. I am very much looking forward to seeing the Sun today.

Good warm morning and Happy Sunny day! (hopefully) The birds are twittering all over the place. Thats a good sign!

David your yard looks so much better than my dried,, up brown mess.
Dragged everyone out of the shed & GH. Some of my tiny Turks Caps have new leaves & there are even a couple buds.
Rose bush startings look wonderful.
Put the veg seedlings out on the back patio for a couple hours so they could get real sun. They don't look any worse for the trip. Maybe let them stay out in the GH tmrw nite.
