Woohoo! We got .60" of rain last night, and more, with winds tomorrow. That may sound silly to you on the other coast, but here, it's something exiting. Any way, I thought I'd get some pics before everything gets flattened.

More in the back and the narrow strip that belongs to the neighbors, but I maintain so I don't have to deal with their weeds and mud.

A few more joys showing up this gorgeous breezy morning here. I had to evict the big pink brug from the pool cage, moved, pruned and it keeps on blooming. Broccoli flowers are pretty and attract lots of bees! When the weather warms up I can't pick the broccoli fast enough!

Greens in the raised bed - lettuce, kale, mizuna, beets and carrots. The prettiest coleus I've ever had, 'Dipt in Wine' from a cutting from Mj.

How did I miss Carol's post? Scratching my head... pretty colors, Carol!

(I tried to cut down some of the empty space, didn't succeed.)

I am amazed at the gorgeous Broccoli, Elaine

Oh, don't worry about the light -box thingie appearing partially on one line and continuing on the next. As long as there are no breaks in-between the light box brackets with all that info inside them, they will appear next to each other. I always line them up with 1 space in-between. On my husband's larger monitor they will then actually line up as 5 pics in a row. ( and - you can even upload 10 pics or more at a clip if you like)
I don't know of any forum which let's us post pictures as nicely as ATP?

Beautiful colors of warm weather winter gardens. I agree, Elaine, that is a nice coleus.

Carol, I planted tomatoes in November and began to harvest in January. They are about done now. Mine are determinate so the vines are dying.

Out in the rose garden, I have some amaryllis growing and they are in full bloom. All of this started from one plant and I have several patches like this now.

I bought another palm today: Satakentia liukiuensis. It will not take much cold but the price was right so I will give it a shot.

Wow, such lovelies, Jim. Those butterfly amaryllis sell for big bucks these days - you have a gold mine there!

Yes, I meant to say how pretty your garden is looking Carol, and I'm seriously jealous of that tomato plant! They don't last long here, some virus or blight gets them sooner or later.

My house is filled with hippeastrums (amaryllis) right now but they certainly pale compared to your papilio! I plant mine in the ground every summer but they can't stay there over the winter. Here's this year so far....

Kathy, they are simply beautiful! Do you sink them into the ground along with their pots in the Spring, or do you plant them without?

I really enjoyed your show, Kathy. Mine just stay in the ground all year and expand.

That's where I got the idea! "If they plant them in the south...."
Ursula, I take them right out of the pots and dig them into a dedicated semi-circular garden outside the (winter, warm) orchid room windows. Like glads or dahlias. Full southern sun all day. Lots of rain but they don't rot like they did in pots. After my bad pot rot experience, they stayed indoors all summer but never bloomed again, thus the planting idea was my solution. The results are well worth the trouble! So many in bloom this year. The bulbs grow over the summer.

Thanks. I have to try that! I really need to redo my front borders this Spring, so I might add some Amaryllis for the Summer.

Perfect! You can send me a bletilla if you pull one by mistake (doesn't look good for the bletillas in my pots). Green Grin! Green Grin!

We took a walk along the Saddle River today, temps were a balmy 57 degr F.
The Duck pond was still solidly frozen, but the receding snow finally allowed the Snowdrops to pop up here and there. Hurray!
