The amazing thing about it is that one of it's locations is near a drippy gutter, (One that I need to cauk, but only think about it when it rains, and when it's not raining It's not dripping, and I don't remember to do it.) Anyway, it gets all this extra water gets neglected, never gets rot, and blooms every year like magic. I sure wish I knew it's name. My purple seedling is in that same spot, and has the same relults. I think we need to breed some of that vigor back into the newer irises, don't you think?

Its beautiful! Yes, vigor and stamina in extreme climatic conditions are what the noids have. I have decided that if I buy a new iris and it languishes and cant make it I am not going to replace it. As unusual and lovely as the new beauties are if they cant take my climate then they cant. Especially when I see an old variety that just seems to take anything and bloom beautifully every season.
Tom, are you sure you are not from Arkansas? .....cant fix the roof when it rains and it doesn't leak when its not raining. lol
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
I'm hoping the examples of both of those bloom for me this year, Tom, as I'm itching to see(and smell !) them. As well as get started trying to put a name to the one that's labeled in my garden as "Tom's Red". By the way, I used to date a girl from Little Rock!.. ..I wonder.. ..no, no... ..well, maybe...was your date's name Sally ? !...Arlyn
Yeah -- I do think, Tom. Your NOID red Irises are just a few feet away from Arthouse -- that was planted at the same time, and died. Tells ya something, doesn't it?

Thank You All for the kind words glad you enjoy the pictures and hopefully there is something new you have not seen before I am really enjoying everyones pictures we keep getting a little closer to bloom season.
Mary Ann one of my favorite group of seedlings this year that I wanted to see bloom in the spring was the 2 that you commented on you have excellent taste we need to get you pollen daubing at home this year. By the way both of these 2 are some really late bloomers another plus for me, I found a little green in some of these tonight so still some hope with this one.
Terracotta Bay X Patchwork Puzzle
When I see Luxuriant Lothario I want to cry Mine bit the dust and it never got to bloom. That Patchwork Puzzle clump is amazing! Smoky Whisper is one I haven't seen before, it's really nice too. Thanks for sharing.

When I look at my wish list and ralize that I am going to have to build yet another bed if I buy them all, it makes me think I better do some thinning. Maybe this rot thing is going to give me some space. Looks like I'm going to loose Lesley My Love all together now. the rot got to the increases too. Same with Temporal Anomaly Bums me out. Strawberry Shake is on shaky ground too.
