Wow I'm enjoying my first peony spring, just a few days and they should pop. This fall maybe I'll add a coral or salmon one.

That's exciting, SC. I'm in the same situation. My herbaceous won't be blooming until the end of May, I am told. I would love to add a salmon one, too, like Salmon Dream. It has a really nice form.

Annette, it's your fault that I went last year to my nursery to buy Yumi. Your picture last season convinced me. The nursery had a few, and they were $60 by then, which made me hesitate. However, they were huge and with your pic, I went to buy one, except by then they were all gone!

I really do like Yumi, the blooms are so lush and full. I think I posted earlier that I got another one this spring. It's starting to bloom this week. I created a new 4 x 50 bed last week for my roses and peonies. I'm going to plant the new plants there in the fall.

I also like Misaka.

I think you personally have made Yumi the most sought peony on this forum, Annette! If I don't find one locally I'm ordering one from Select Plus for this fall. Didn't have really good luck with them the first time I ordered but the pics from last fall's tuber fest string made me think they're worth a second try, especially since they offer so many Itohs that no one else does.
Also LOVE your mixed pic with Sorbet, irises and clematis, absolutely beautiful! Would love to see your entire garden some day, maybe you should post pictures in the gardens forum or do a video. If you do let us know here so we can drool!

Thanks Liz. I do have several garden beds in the backyard, all of which have peonies.

Here's the new bed done last week where I plan to put the new Itohs and tree peonies.

Thanks Liz, but I do have to admit that I'm a haphazard gardener. Smiling If there's an open spot in the garden, I'll plant something in it. I'm now being more diligent about color combinations. I may have to move a few plants around.

You have a luxurious garden, Annette, and it is absolutely beautiful. Hurray! You must love to look at it. I do! The colour of your siberian iris is extraordinary. Now I'm going to have to search around for it. Green Grin!
What is the yellow flower in the pic with Raspberry Sundae and the little pink flowers in front of Misaka? Are the red flowers in the back in the first pic the noids?

Thanks Pwin😁 the red flowers the 1st picture, all the way to the right are Knockout Roses.

The yellow blooms in the picture #12 are from Itoh Misaka, it was taken in the evening when the blooms were closed.

The NOID is seen from a distance in pictures 1, 4, and 7.

In pictures 9 and 10, the little pink flowers to the left of Sea Shell and in front of Itoh Keiko are columbine Dorothy Rose that sowed it self there. I'm thrilled that it did, right by the pink peonies. Hurray!

I have a ton of seeds from Siberian Iris Caesar's Brother. I'm happy to send you some, if you'd like to try the seeds. I got the plants from Bluestone Perennials several years ago. They came as small plugs, in small pots. They have multiplied nicely.

I think Roselette will be the first to bloom. Two strong stems only this year. But bodes well for next year.
