Well SuperDave, I have a question. Is it possible to preview an entry in the database when I am building my list? As I am entering and I type key words a list of options appears. Often I am not exactly sure what one I want. I pick one and add it to my list. Then I actually look at in my list and it isn't quite the one I want. So I have to go back and delete it from my list. Then get out of building my list and go to the database and figure out exactly what entry I want. Then back to my list to add it. A bit cumbersome.

I may just be asking for too much. But I have fourteen pages of plants to enter! Looking for a bit of a short cut.

Thanks!

Also, as an aside, I noted that you seem to have entered a duplicate date for Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Boysenberry Buttercup')

It shows that you have it blooming on April 24, 2013 twice. Was that intentional?

Uh, yeah, it opened two blooms that day! Sticking tongue out That's what happens when you work late at night and fall asleep at the computer, you forget where you left off! nodding

Actually, you shouldn't have to go through all that. If it's not the one you want, you can edit the event. Click on the edit icon and you can easily change the type of event. (If I'm understanding your question correctly.)

@jvdubb, maybe work with multiple windows open? I often right-click to open a separate window, do my editing in that window, and then you can refresh the original window to see what it looks like, if further editing is needed, do that in the second window and then close it when you are done. That way, you stay in the original window without loosing your place. Make sense? Sticking tongue out

BTW, I am having so much fun doing this! I used to do this kind of tedious record keeping back when I started gardening. Then life got in the way. I love getting back to it!

Good suggestion Sue! Thanks, I will try that. This will actually require a third window as I am often surfing the sites of where I purchased my plants to get the detailed info Rolling on the floor laughing
