Cherie pardon me but what is your husband's name. For the life of me I can't remember.
I was looking through an old thread and saw you had written you had lived in the South for the first ten yrs. of your life. When you left the South, where did you go?
Cherie's husband (sorry, Alzheimer's I guess) I saw you mentioned being of Scots/Irish as am I. Heck, we could be kinfolk. Many of my folks got here in the 1700's but that's about all I know. I'd have to check with the women in my family as most are in the DAR and Colonial Dames. They'd certainly know.
Until I find out differently then I'll call you Cuz. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

ANNOUNCEMENT
Dave has put a new system on cubits for us and it is a good idea.
Instead of the thread being too long they have been split up, don't panic it is easy!
When you click on a thread at the bottom are little boxes with page numbers in i.e. 1, 2, 3 etc. The higher the number is the thread that is the most recent.
So if you click on 3 then it takes you to the recent thread. Mine has 40 posts per thread and then it takes you to the next one if you hit the number you want!
The reason Dave has done this is to help people with slow net or dial up internet connections.
Most net systems work like this as it saves you going through lots of posts. Now you can go to the bottom of the first thread and click on the highest number and it takes you to the bit in use.
This system is now all over cubits.
Thank you.
Neil.

Muriel gave me this Clematis years ago without a label. I do not know what it is, but it is pretty enough to leave climbing over the fence.

Lee, your Vitex flowers almost remind me of my Purple Salvia blooms in my little front bed, since they are tall & similar in color; I used to always plant 'Victoria Blue' variety, but then it got hard to find it the past few years, so last Spring I started putting 3 or 4 kinds--- some do better than others, & one from last year is a little bit too tall & wayward, but now I forgot the name of it--- Oh, so That's why people keep Gardening Journals!! Neil, that Clematis that Muriel gave you is soo pretty--- I wouldn't care if it had a label or not ... just call it 'Clematis Muriel'--- that's specific enough, isn't it?! Rolling my eyes.

I could think of a few plants I could name after you Muriel! How about Sarracenia Dracula, which is a real plant!
However if it was crossed it could become Sarracenia Dracula 'Muriel'. It even looks like you on a good day!

Kevin, I just now read your questions and do heartily apologize. Haven't been ignoring you just been brain dead from too much to do too little time and life that always happens when you make plans. The my husband planned a trip for us and I am rested and renewed.

My Husbands name is Ed short for Edgar. He is of the way very Irish. As Coogan the surname will surmise.

I lived in Texas the first 10 years of my life and was transplanted to Wisconsin in 1966. My father is of
Irish/Scotch/Cherokee Indian heritage. My mother is of German and scotch descent and I am in a way a Heinz 57 variety.
