I was back down there today and she won't ship either. She says they don't have enough help to do that.

I made a list of some of the plants and will email that to you plus the pictures I took of the plants. I probably better send them through regular email so they don't get downsized. I was limited on time. But in January I'll go back. You might want to drive down to my house in January and I'll take you down there.

The owner's girlfriend just retired and she's thinking of doing a website. I don't hold out much hope for that.

Thanks for sending your email. Think about coming in January. I would think it would be worth the trip and maybe showing her some of the stuff you make. They may want to buy some stuff from you if it is in the scale they are looking for.

Now you got me thinking and creating again! Hilarious! I have a cement pedestal at the old house, was gonna pitch it...but now I'm thinkin I can use it for a base for a mini garden like the one you posted above Thumbs up Think I'll have DH bring it up to the new house after all Hilarious! Now I just need to figure out what to use for the round gardentop....something that will survive our weather here...

I really love how that ivy is growing around the base in that photo!

Hey Donna,

Glad you like them. I just bought a few more pieces to add to it. I'll take pictures in the spring with the new additions. One is a little red wagon and a birthday cake for on the table.

I bring them inside during the winter; in the spring I buy something like scotch moss, some kind of miniature ground cover that will stay short. I put it down in my mini hosta area and then lay out the pieces on it. Unfortunately a hard rain storm can scramble the pieces so I am constantly setting everything back up.

I am thinking I should buy some kind of container to arrange it all in. When a storm is coming I could just pull it all into the garage and save myself the work of constantly re-arranging it all.

A container would definitely be a great idea. Like you said than you can move it to protect it.

If I do that I will definitely by more pieces and expand it. And I will be back in Calif in April and can do some serious shopping. They are not online and do not ship. The only way to buy is to walk in. I have never seen such a lovely collection and they only buy whatever is to scale for their fairies.

She said a customer said to her . . who do you buy from . . I should start a business like this. She buys from over 200 venders and sometimes only one or two pieces from a given one.

Hi Arlene, I just love all those mini gardens. I was just thinking about a rain lamp I had hanging in our house years ago. When we moved the lamp got stored in the garage somewhere. That would be a perfect place to start a min garden. I know I'll never hang it in the house again although it still works. Just drain the oil out of the bottom. Have to keep that in mind for a future project. Lovey dubby

Those mushrooms are amazing!!! I've wanted a fairy garden forever, but now I want to create these mushrooms even more! Looks easy enough that I could probably figure it out!
