They are fun but the rain and the wind scramble mine all the time and of course, I bring them inside during the winter.

I love the fairy displays! How cute!! Our local dollar tree has some tiny fairies, 3 or 4 inches tall, that are so cute, but I couldn't think of anything to do with them...until I saw that pic above with the fairies in a ring connected by ribbon. I think I'll go get them today and make a display like that. That's so cute!

I have fairies in assorted sizes. I love the variety. Some of the fairies will sit on tabletops or shelves while others will sit on the ground. I have some fairy doors and windows too to attach to my house. I may build little decks in front of the doors and put a fairy or two on each deck.

I loved touring the fairy garden! Thanks for sharing. You gave me a lot of ideas!

Do you think the little house with the plant growing on top of the roof might have been sold?

I suppose they could have deconstructed it and sold the house and rusty dog. But when I viewed it, that house looked pretty heavy. I'm pretty sure the plant growing on top was a planter ""planted"" on the roof. So it was probably doable. Guess I should has asked.

I'll be back in CA in two weeks so maybe I'll mosey over there and ask as well as to look for more to photograph.

The Fairies they sell there run $12.98 each. They are replicas of Cicely Mary Barker's illustrations of Flower Fairies. At age 16 she published a set of post cards. She was born in 1895 in South London. She taught herself to draw and paint. There was a series of Flower Fairy books published in 1923 with botanically accurate illustrations accompanied by poems.

The material is resin and unfortunately after one summer in my Iowa garden which is part shade, they are already fading. I should hav sprayed them with Krylon UV protectant spray. A friend of mine who is an artist repainted them for me.

You can find other people that produce the fairy figurines but they are not as detailed as hers. And now that I have 3 of hers . . in looking for others it is hard to find ones in the proportionate size.

I still like hers the best for the detail . . things in minniature with great detail.

These are the newest thing I saw

I am going back today to pick up a little red wagon and a birthday cake. She told me she buys from over 100 vendors and sometimes just one item. She has to make her purchases so they are all to the correct scale for the rest of the collection based on the proportion of the fairies. That butterfly chair IS awesome.

I'll be making a list of the minature plants she carries.

The only thing is the shipping is so horrid these days, but with enough business they will do great. I want to learn to make fairies with a mold. this weekend I'm going to see if I can find one at Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. I know I can do it.

Will you make them out of pottery?

At least all their stuff is lightweight, so shipping might not be too much.
