I didn't enjoy being between projects today! A couple of times I wandered outside and poked around and looked for what to do but, there was nothing.

Then a friend gave me a sad little sedum, I forget the variety, it's on the tag -- she'd overwatered it nearly to death so I'm going to see if I can repot and revive it. Just taking it outside and putting it where it will stay dry and putting the pieces back in the soil -- my heart lifted, YAY! a little project!

Oh, Kyla, if you need a project, i would be so glad to have you come up and visit me!

Actually, I bet that would be fun. Plus which you'd probably give me plants to take home with me.

Kyla, I wish that I lived closer. It would be worth the trip to pick you up, feed you, entertain you and give you the best bedroom in the house!! I'm getting ready for a yard sale on Saturday (another one to fund the sludge litigation) and everything out there is getting very wild looking!!

Seriously, too bad I can't show up and help. I often has a sad about the dirth of local gardening buddies. I imagine they must be out there but no good idea how to find them. Not having my own wheels is problematic in that regard. I did meet one gal at a farmer's market, one not that far away, either, who was just selling plants from her own garden. But, no good way to reconnect at this point.

phoooey. I was going to order a few -- just a few! -- semps from here http://cubits.org/TheSemperviv... but she's stopped shipping for the year. I wish I'd known there was a cutoff. I could order from somewhere else but I think I won't get as much for my coin at the other places I've seen.

Ah well.

Ha! I sent Chris a Tree-mail and asked her for advice about where to get a few plants and she was happy to sell to me. I almost didn't contact her because I didn't want to be a pushy bother, but she was very welcoming.

Yay, now that project can proceed!

Wow! Those are amazing. My mom had quite a few such critters, though the ones she had were not colors, but there was a frog, a koala (!) and a couple of others -- I kept them for a while but they've gone the way of all such items...
