I have a lot of Pudica, and although there isn't any fragrance, I do like them because of the lovely "bunch" of flowers at the tip (Bridal Bouquet). I've never seen seeds or pods though. I Just cut off a small branch and they root easily. I love the pop of white in the gardens. I had one in a very large pot which I had to take out this summer. What a job. but it had grown so tall - from a small cutting less than two years ago, to well over 5 feet. it's now in a flower bed by the driveway.
Now, these are sought after at our garden clubs, more than the regular plumerias.

The Plumeria pudica generally doesn't get much over 9 ft tall if left alone. If you don't want them to get so tall, you can trim it back hard in early spring and they will flush out again and generally bloom by May or June. Then you also have a lot of cuttings to propagate!

That's good to know Hetty. I may leave another one in a pot after all and then cut it back next spring. Don't you wish they would have other colors?

Some of the cuttings I got from my friend from the MS Gulf coast may be Pudica. Several are multi-branched 6-8 tips), perhaps 1/2" diameter branches, with flowers somewhat like Celadine but about 2/3 as large and not fragrant. Some flowers were there when I potted everything up a couple of weeks ago, and I think there may have been a hint of pink on the back-side outer edges, but I am not positive of that.

Hetty, these cuttings are leafless, so I won't know about leaf-form until spring (if they survive over-wintering). As you remember, the ones I purchased from you a couple of years ago never survived that over-wintering.

Hetty do the seedlings look more like pudica now? For some reason the leaves have kept a pale green color.

They are certainly getting to be the right shape. They will probably darken in full sun in the summer.

Hi Ken, it's plumeria pudica. It's an evergreen species. I think it's also called Bridal's Bouquet plumeria?

Is it evergreen for you, Cameron? Here in Florida they do briefly lose their leaves, usually in a cold snap in January; by March they are all leafed out again.

Oh I thought it was similar to Singapore? I have to bring mine indoors so it's semi-evergreen for me. Hilarious!

My Bridal ouquet have a hard time every winter! This past was especially hard on them for some reason. I thought i would lose them! But they bounced back. Then DH ran over one! If they make it to become bushes again ill be amazed!

Hey Cameron welcome back😃 I was wondering where you've been and what is going on with all your seedlings. Mine are growing tall but no inflo in sight.
