I haven't had it long enough to say... So far so good. It grows more leaves than it loses so far, so I'll call that success :).

I'm looking for some general advice on using Epsom salts. Do you add it to water soluble ferts? Use as a foliar feed? How much? Water into the soil? All advice appreciated.

Also I looked at the package I bought at the supermarket. Morton Natural Epsom Salt "plus Eucalyptus to relax". *Blush* Sticking tongue out
I'd prefer my plants not relax. Ingredients: Natural Magnesium Sulfate, fragrance. Will the fragrance do any harm?

I use Epsom salts on almost all my plants. I buy the cheapest I can find and without any fragrance ( my plants are very organic and prefer their natural perfume). Walmart has 2 lb. bags that are about $2.50-$3.50. They also have quart cartons occasionally for $.88 each. I sprinkle some in each hole for a new plant. I also sprinkle it around the bottom of all plants, in the ground and in pots. I use a lot in the spring and summer.
I also use the old brugmansia foliar feed that calls for Epsom salts. The salts need to be dissolved in warm water or they clog the sprayer. I spray nearly everything with that mix. I've never had any burn.

Just to rock the boat, Green Grin! I use lavender scented Epsom salts sometimes if I run out of the cheap plain stuff. On my plants that is.

Haven't seen any problems. I figure the lavender might be somewhat bug repellent which never hurts here in FL.I've sprayed it on brugs and orchids as well as my EEs, Tiny amount of essential oil gives a lot of perfume.

Eewww............I HATE lavender scent. Makes me about gag. Probably because I have a friend that positively DRENCHES herself in it before going out. I nicely told her once that it was waaaaay too much and it made me nauseated. I can't say that she tempered the use. Sticking tongue out

Yep, it's a scent you either love or hate. Both my daughter and I love it so she gives me lavender everything as gifts.
