That's a pretty color tarev how long do the blooms usually last?

About 1.5 to 2 weeks.

Last week, had some late blooming Thanksgiving cactus:



And now, Easter cactus is doing its' thing!


With Tradescantia cerinthoides & Tahitian bridal veil (Gibasis geniculata,) which are also blooming, and Begonias, Kalanchoe blossfeldiana.

Noticed the first of this years' buds on S. truncata! Bud-check time!

C'mon everyone! You (yes, you, reading this) know you want to show pics of your blooming plants too, even if it is the most common thing on the internet, truly giving cats some competition for the next month or so...

IDK if these colors are just less palatable or what. Most of my pink & red ones were severely munched by critters the past 2 summers (while outside!) Squirrels, I think. I couldn't be happier that peach & white were unmunched.

Those are beautiful! Mine are still in budding stage too..maybe in Jan or Feb.

TY, TY! I think there's some little pieces of pink ones around. They're kind of invisible (what's left after being munched) until the buds start...

Got buds here! I just bought these 2 Snowbirds in for the winter. The top one is peach. It bloomed for me 2 years ago at Thanksgiving. Then it went down hill after that. This year it went outside to the greenhouse. It seemed to like it and quadrupled in size ! Look at all those big buds!

The one below were cuttings I got in late March while in Washington state. I labeled it "Easter Cactus " because it had just finished blooming there. Those cuttings went into the gh, too. I guess here in Texas it wants to be a "Christmas Cactus"! It's dark pink or red, i don't recall. We shall see!

One of my Holiday Cacti bloomed before, and it left this reddish part on the tip of one of the leaves. It tides me over waiting for the next blooming period. Like a cute light bulb I thought that left over growth will eventually die off, but it has kept itself there.

How cool is that@tarev! Anxious to hear what happens to it. Can you imagine an entire plant with that color on the tips? !

It really is cute..reminds me of a fruit, but I know it was not a fruit, that was the what do you call that part, the receptacle of the flower. I did not know it will stay that fresh red color all throughout. I usually twist off the dried out flowers after it is over.
