Yes, Frank Smith and Jim Krull are partners, or at least they were. Smith used to hybridize daylilies, right? The daylilies seem to be all gone now, though.

My V. Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' is putting up another spike! Poor thing is making up for lost time as I've been letting the thrips have their way with it, I guess. Now finally have a handle on that, and the flowers are coming along so well.

Yea, he sold his daylily business to Pete Harry, Nicoles father, a few years ago. That of course means nothing to a non daylily person Blinking

Id like to go just visit Frank, but buy from the other place. Im not going to let myself get wrapped up in other than a nice pretty face, that smells good. Id like to be able to let my husband retire someday Whistling My daylily addiction has cost him a good five more years already, not to mention fabric. Ive got some good genetics tho Blinking

Ive had a plant like the above, but it never bloomed. Very interesting. If I knew what it was, I would have treated it differently.

Pam, while in Apopka, you may also want to visit a place called Orchids in Bloom at 2001 Rock Spring Road.

By the way, First Orchids is at 2107 Plymouth Sorrento Road.

I've been to Krull Smith's place many times over several years and have never seen Frank there. Jim seems to always be there.
