Julia, those are awesome pictures the color of the last pic is breathtaking.
That is really great about the filburt prunings. I never even thought to do that.
Lots happening and lots to do. Here are a few of the current bloomers
I love both of these. The wild hyathins are one of my favorite cut flowers. I don't understand why so many people think they are weeds.
My favorite tulips and my favorite wildflower trilliums. Got a nice bed of them.
These primroses are such a delight. Unfortunately the BC Ginger is starting to crowd them and need to do some transplanting. The Jack-in-the-pulpit are just coming up.
love the foliage of this with the shockingly blue flowers. Lost these little white violets for a number of years. A plant appeared last summer and now they are reseeding. It is deciduous and I was told they were from Canada. Anyone know their name? If kept watered it blooms through the summer.
Julia, lovely blooms. Only my mini Iris are blooming so far. Canadian kisses got attacked by slugs but Ballistic and the old NoID seem better off. Lost several the previous winter due to rot. Now have the named varieties planted between the pavers in my sandy front yard.
Love all the hyathins. A real lazy gardeners spring joy.
Your flowers are so lovely. I am green myself (about the only thing around here that IS green) with envy. How I wish we had migrated south years ago. To have such a wealth of flowers this time of year seems almost miraculous. Thanks so much for posting pictures.
