Lovely shots Brad, as usual, but I am particularly struck by what I assume is a current Hawaiian sunset avatar, sigh....

Sue - Genetic Artist is incredible! Love both your Gingerbread Trim and Bonnie's Gold Canary (what cute fuzzy little beards!!!).

And Sue, I think Grateful Red sells itself. I was overwhelmed the first time it bloomed. The flowers are large, and have such a sheen in the sunlight!

And I agree with Sue - Brad your shots are wonderful. Glad you are having a great birthday vacation. Sounds like an awesome time is being had!

Brad, Glad you are enjoying your vacation and had a nice Birthday. With any luck, I'll get to see Gambling Man here this spring. It's a bright sunny day here about 34 degrees. Most of the snow is gone and what's left will be gone soon as it's supposed to be nice most of the week.
I think I need to have Greatful Red! Whistling Oh the list, she does grow long! And we're only on the "G's". Rolling on the floor laughing

Oh boy! I get to post a second one... Most of my "G's" haven't bloomed yet.. and a couple of them, you're probably sick of seeing ('Grape Echo').. I really love the color and scent on 'Gingersnap', so that will be my second choice today. I also think it glows in front of this yellow-foliaged Dogwood.

I thought that too Greg, but I like the overall look of Gambling Man better.

Gambling Man is wonderful, Brad! I love the dark blue stripe down the center of the falls!

And Sherry -- I love your Gingersnap, too. Yes -- the background is just perfect for it. I always intended to get that one, and it just got lost somewhere along the way. It's beautiful!!

I think I need to have Grateful Red too!!! Whistling

Probably isn't necessary at this point -- but to keep things on track: Starting at midnight tonight (Central Standard time) we will move to our favorite *H* Irises!! Smiling

Mary Ann, I should have enough of Gingersnap to divide this year.. I'd be happy to share with you.

Pam, I love your picture of the horse with the Iris in the foreground. Perfect!

So, Central Standard Time is one or two hours different than California? Well as a friend used to say "It's cocktail time somewhere".. I guess it's midnight somewhere too.. I don't have a lot of "H's" that have bloomed for me... the choices were Hemstitched, Hello Darkness, Hot Spice, or Honey Glazed... This is the latter.

I am choosing Haunted Heart as my "H" Iris. It hasn't bloomed for a couple of years as I almost killed it, but it's coming back and I'm hoping to see it again this spring.
