flowers, flowers , flowers

have about 17 dwarf conifers, another batch of jm's, and the odd bush on order. Which means another year of 20 yards of dirt/compost, less grass, and more paths.

Where are the dwarf conifers going? Near the new pond?

Lucy, I never thought about that but it is strange. Maybe the mags. cater to bedding type gardeners that make up the largest number of their customers.

We have ferns along the north side of the garage, & also that side of our barn as well since we no longer have the horses to eat them.

Well it seems I didn't do my math very well when I ordered from NC farms for my cuttings or I just didn't read it right Confused
I orded 300 cuttings and the min was 600 so I paid a 25$ fee...still way cheaper than buying them at the nursery...then I got an email for a 43$ freight charge...yikes...I called and asked if I added on 300 more cuttings would the fright be the same and it was...so guess what I did Whistling Yup added the 300 and lost the 25 charge and will get more plants for less money Thumbs up Don't know what I'm going to do with 600 plants if they all root... Shrug! Hilarious! Anyway this is what I added nodding

I'm being good and haven't ordered any new plants. Money is kinda tight right now. I'm hoping what I bought in the spring on clearance with thrive. Bought three new grapes and a few new raspberry plants. My biggest buy has been bird houses which I'm painting and hope to mount all around the garden to attract yellow and purple finches. They are so much fun to watch and have swoop down in the garden when I'm picking veggies.
