I'm not sure why either Zoia, but now that I see 'Holiday Delight', I think I would have a hard time telling them apart if they were not side by side.

I have 'Outrageous' and just noticed that the database says it is 22" tall. However, in my garden it gets taller than that. This pictures shows 'Outrageous' in the center. 'Autumn Wood' (24") is the shorter one to the right and 'Lavender Blue Baby' (28") is behind that. 'Bali Watercolor' (35") at left and the 'Becky' shasta daisies get around 36" tall. So odd though... 'Lea Ann Williams' is the pink bloom behind 'Lavender Blue Baby' and it is only registered at 22" also. It does have varying heights of scapes though. Things that make you go hmmmm.

Beautiful garden picture Vickie. One possibly is that Outrageous may be a faster multiplier. The slow ones don't get divided as much. My humble opinion of course.

Thanks, Mike. You are so right. That would definitely inhibit popularity. Zoia will have to let us know if hers multiplies well.

That picture was taken in 2021 and I've had Outrageous since 2005. I've given away several starts of it over the years. Other than taking off fans from around the outside of the clump, it has not been divided since I got it. It would probably do even better if I just dug up the whole clump and divided it though.

Beautiful Vickie! Sighing! can't wait…

I've had Holiday Delight in its current position since the 2000s sometime, when I bought it from the hybridizer. It is a pretty giant clump. I don't think the eye on Holiday Delight is as petal encompassing as the eye on Outrageous. However, the eye on another, similar plant, Hot Town ( child of Holiday Delight) is even deeper in the throat, with very little yellow left in the middle. Anyway, Holiday Delight does better in my yard than it's offspring, Hot Town and has engendered tons of photos.

Here's a picture of Hot Town…see how deep the eye goes compared to Holiday Delight, or even Outrageous?

Although now that I see them together, it would be hard to tell Outrageous and Hot Town apart! Hot Town is a little taller and comes a little later in the season.

Awesome pics, Zoia! And that is a nice clump of Holiday Delight. I used to think that Outrageous was pretty unique, but Holiday Delight and Hot Town dispel that theory.

I like this plant a lot but think it's not that happy where it is. I am planning on moving it.

Larry @Seedfork generously shared this one with me, and it is one of my favorites already. Wonderful bloom and rebloom in its first year. I took so many pictures of this one. Can't wait to see it clump up.

And everyone's favorite, Orange Velvet.

Nice picture of One Hot Mama Jill. Love the 5 x 5 on your Octomom Zoia!
Octomom is one of my favorite polys. I moved it this past spring so it bloomed on very short scapes. This is a 2022 image.

It's funny how Holiday Delight and Outrageous are from the same cross. Probably even from the same pod. And also funny that Hot Town looks so much like Outrageous even though Holiday Delight was it's parent.
