I have only two Os.

OLYMPIC SHOWCASE didn't flower this season because I was naughty. But, in the past, it has entertained by throwing up an occasional strange bloom.

OLD TANGIERS is my favourite bloom. It is easy to see from a distance because it is a glower.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

O my daylilies Smiling Only two, both were new and came from waaay up north. I think they will likely bloom earlier this year and with some cooler weather I think the color might be richer on those that bloomed in full sun like 'Orange You Clever' but no matter if it explodes like in the 2nd photo:
Thumb of 2016-02-10/needrain/4c9664

I'll probably try to keep 'Odds Bodkins' with a bit of shade. There's so much light coming from the heart of the bloom it lights up the shade and keeps the darker bloom protected from the sunlight here which really tends to mess with dark colors.

Outrageous, everyone visiting the garden loves this one.

Overcoming Illusions, an odd one. I've never really decided if I like it or not and every year I'm like "That's still here"?.....

I fell in love with a huge clump of One Last Dance on my '05 trip to Steve Moldovan's. When I was getting ready to leave, my jeep already packed to the gills with daylilies, he surprised me with a piece of One Last Dance. Steve passed away July 14, 2006, the same day my gift of One Last Dance began blooming that next year. The daylilies with memories attached can be the ones we enjoy seeing the most Smiling

I realized this morning that I haven't contributed to the "O" thread. I will have to do it later, but just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed looking at all the beauties posted here!

A few favorites are: Oktoberfest, Orchid Corsage (seems to be very popular, but I don't have it), One Last Dance, Out of the Blue, and Octopus Hugs.

Mike, your garden shot picture of 'One Above You' is just lovely. I bet that would look so nice in a big clump:)

@Hemlady, your picture of Orchid Forest is awesome. Does it always have that intense violet color? I love it!
