By blue23rose

Because they are so easy to cut and are durable enough to last through the summer, vinyl blinds are a cheap and easy way to tag plant crosses.

My blinds were viciously attacked by my cocker spaniel.....who tried to blame it on a lizard, but needless to say I had to replace the blinds. I have tried EVERYTHING when writing the names of my daylilies on them! From garden markers that said they wouldn't fade, sharpies, paint with a thin brush to only find that by seasons end the name would be GONE. Well my friends, you won't believe what does work.... And don't just take my word for it, really try it! Get a big flat carpenter's PENCIL .... Yes, you red that correctly ..... A darn pencil, and the carpenter one just makes a bigger mark. Write the name on the part above ground, and again at the bottom underground. It will stay there , it doesn't fade, or was off. I have been doing this several years, and it will work!! The part underground helps in case a weed eater accidently gets to close! :-)
Hurray!
