Simple works for me, too!

This time of year, keep in mind that the same rule of thumb applies to seeds... most need to be buried just twice as deep as their size. For tiny seeds, that means just press them into the surface, and for bigger seeds like peas, beans, nasturtiums, squash... about a quarter inch deep generally does the trick.
