I posted a picture of what I thought was "Let It Be Me". Turns out it was actually "Let's Misbehave" Both are 2014 introductions by Baumunk. I have removed the picture here and asked our database admins to remove it on the specific page for "Let It Be Me". Once this is done, I will re-post the picture as "Let's Misbehave".

I love Carousel of Dreams and Heartbeat Away. Are they planted near each other? The colors play off each other nicely.

Celia-I'm not sure that they are. Rick & Roger have several long rows (the have 1 acre under cultivation and 1 acre in a cover crop) so it is doubtful that they are side by side.

I realized that after I reread what I posted. I need to pay more attention to where I am. Senior moments come more often. Hilarious!

No big deal. I suspect that they probably do put stuff next to each other that they get from the same source, but that they do not really plan out the garden. The only exception I could come with is if they got three "White" TBs, that they would not put them side by side by side as it would be a bit harder to differentiate them.

In an earlier post I said:

Here it is, picture with the correct label. Sorry for the confusion!

This is my first year to grow Beth's Blessings and I think it is going to bloom. I am really looking forward to seeing it up close.

I just got a note from Rick & Roger and wanted to share. I should have thought this out, but I was using my personal bias. There was a question about two irises and if they were side by side in the garden. I was not thinking in a "commercial" frame of mind, but was using my own garden experience. Since I don't dig up my whole garden year after year (though it is starting to feel like I do), it did not occur to me how they do it.

Everything is alphabetical. There are sections which are mostly done by type (like SDB), but these are all alphabetical within the category. Their garden is alphabetical so it is easier to plant and to pick. The computer generates the plantings chart and the picking chart. This way there are no holes in the garden and all of the space is taken up with no waste. They will make accommodations when they have two side by side with very similar names/colors and put something in between so there is no confusion as to when one cultivar starts and the next one starts.

Brad also mentioned that Roger takes great pictures. I am sure he does! However, virtually all iris variety photos are taken by Rick. When they were in my yard, Rick had the camera out around his neck taking pictures. That was one sweet camera (it was a digital SLR type, don't know the name or model, but it looked VERY fancy).

RE: Carousel of Dreams and Heartbeat Away. I may have to get those and do a side-by-side and see for myself. I'm really liking them both.
