I planted a bag of 75 Crocosmia 'Lucifer' in beds and in pots. While most sent up greenery, about 10-15% did not. Of 75 planted, I may have seen 6-7 bloom. Maybe a first-year plant issue? If not, I am underwhelmed.
Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.

I've had similar experiences with Crocosmia, but have found them to perform better the 2nd season and thereafter. They seem to require a season or two to settle in before really showing off.

I agree Mine did the same thing. Their 3rd year was great! Hope yours will be too. Crossing Fingers!

New here!
I planted 24 bulbs and not one has surfaced. They arrived late so did not get in the ground 'til late May (zone 6b here in the US) so perhaps the soil was too warm though I doubt it. I am wondering if squirrels and chipmunks may've dug them up like what they do with crocus? I read elsewhere that they can take 2 years to come up so I just have to remember not to plant anything else where I planted them. Who knows...might be a pleasant surprise next Spring.
