OK, lets see if this helps. I pulled off a leaf of my R.I. and brought it inside for closer examination. It is very close to being exactly rectangular with a measurement of 1 cm at both the base and the point where it starts to curve to the tip. At its thickest point it is about 5mm thick. This is the mature plant shown above and the leaf was taken about midway up the plant.

What is the color like now Connie? Does it go green with lengthening daylight?

I don't remember if it turned completely green. As you can see it is changing to green in the photo. I'll keep a closer eye on it Thumbs up .

Lynn yes the german photo looks exactly like what I have, shorter, flatter and greyer than what Connie's photo shows. But Connie your plant is lovely! (and I'm not an expert I just think this one is distinct)
Thanks Lynn for following up! Kevin, I hope you got seedlings all rowed out!!
Lisa that is a lovely plant!! Hurray!

Lynn one of her earlier photos was from today I think she said :P
I only looked at the first 2 photos of Peter's site, and both colorations, and shape are identical to what I have. Mostly what I'm seeing looks close - the ones that I've seen at the nurseries however have been totally wrong, really long skinny leaves, and not as many leaves, and bright red, with no grey. Thumbs down

I know there has been some 'Raspberry Ice' contraversy so I wanted to see what folks thought about this plant I obtained last summer from Cistus Nursery.

From this picture, can anyone say there is any reason to suspect this is not indeed 'Raspberry Ice'?
Notice that it is offsetting in early April and it was green over winter.
Personally, I think it's legit but I like to be as sure as I can.

Tim, when I was at cistus they had totally the wrong plant, and they had 2 different looking clones marked as raspeberry ice...from your photo I can't tell but if you want I can bring you an offset of the real one and you can keep it and know at that point that you have the true clone! Please let me know if you're interested I tip my hat to you.

Actually I'd be a little leery of the narrow leaved clones. It has a broader leaf than that generally. It has sort of a squatty plant habit. I had it from Mina Colvin back in the 70's. You can look at my plants during the clinic. Tim's plant looks more like 'The Flinstones' to me.

Tim here you can see what Kevin's describing, shorter leaves, and more gray in color
