I tend to agree... I think I have an impostor on my hands. The real RI I think has distinctly round rosettes, shorter/broader leaves, and a notable borderline between the red and green at times. I think I'll have Lynn remove my picture from the ATP database. I hope I don't have to give back the acorn.

Lynn... if your read this could you please delete any image contribution I have made to the ATP database for 'Raspberry Ice'.

I think we have all had photos removed. It is an ongoing process of weeding out the impostors. Rolling my eyes.
On my way Tim. Group hug

Done. I moved the suspect photos to the generic Sempervivum entry.

I just want to stick my twocents in.
As a total novice I have to say learning the names of jovi and semps is difficult when they are sooo changable from one month to the next.
Here is my RI

I think you and I both got the wrong plant. That picture seems completely wrong for a RI, I guess you knew that already.

Tim is right. Wrong form, leaf surface, rosette shape and color! It's a very distinctive plant.

Mine came from Mina Colvin herself.

So sad, but not a loss, it will be a beauty in your containers Jo Ann.

I finally have the right one thanks to Kevin. I have grown it alongside the one I have from another source. They look very similar, but there is a difference.
I'll try to get a photo tomorrow so you can see the difference.

Yes I agree Lynn, pretty plant for potting up!! And the imposters look similar but once you see the real thing it is distinctive
