Blatant.....this one seems to always have *something* wrong with the bloom....it's really pretty when everything is "correct", though !

War Chief

I had a great one to show y'all -- but I forgot to take a pic the day I saw it, and when I went out the next morning, it was all folded up.

The Iris was Tequila Sunrise
and the fall petal was split right down the middle -- lavender on one half, yellow on the other.

It was pretty cool-looking!!

It really was -- and I'm so irritated with myself that I didn't go grab the camera right then and there.

Oh well. My imagination is pretty good.

My neigbor's "Round Up Mistake' is really starting to show itself, now....I've got way too many "screwed up" blooms even post !! And most of them were on first year plants, that I wanted SO much to see bloom !
