Tom that's the main reason I got three of it! Now I need to find more broken color plants.

One I like a lot is Oasis Patches. It's a good grower and has good branching as well as nice color.

I love the pale subtle broken pattern on this one. Very different than most brokens that have really vibrant colors.

I would love to see a ruffly bubbly broken!!!

The Charm/Smoke (Charmed Smoke anyone?) cross has beautiful coloring.

I'm loving the English Charm X Dakota Smoke seedling too. How about "Smoke Charmer"?

It's broken, but it has the bad form of a broken. Will keep and try to work on the form.

Not sure what to think of this one. It's different! I'll keep it around and see what happens.

Things are going pretty good so far. I'm getting seedlings to bloom!! I have a few more that I know will been broken to open very soon. I'm up to 7 broken this year and keeping them all to work with.
Have many more seedling to open. Can't wait. Also have a pile building up of rejects. Got to thin things out.

#3 is interesting as is #4. Nice color in the broken color one. Eye catching. #4 is my favorite.

#s 1 and 2 are bright, pretty and I like the light banding, too!

Number 1 is my choice, hands down. Like the color and the form. It should be named Dakota Charm. Green Grin!

The Mysterious Ways/D. Smoke is really interesting in it's color mix. Do you have any other shots of it?

I know you are going to work on the form of Rustler X Gnus Flash, but the red color is really nice. Gnus Flash has such open standards. Have you tried crosses with Kasperek's that have a more closed standard, such as Bewilderbeast?

Leslie, I will try making crosses next year with these seedlings. For me the first bloom is just to see what I get. What ones to save, what to throw out. Bloom #2 I will start to cross. Sounds backwards from what others do, but I don't have a lot of room. I only have 6 named Broken colors irises, I don't have Bewilderbeast. I need to get some more that have better form.
