Celebrating Gardening: 2015
I have to start a thread on this lily. Not sure what I have seen anything as beautiful in pics as this one........
I bought 3 and planted them and they are shooting up like rockets already........
I think I may have placed them in the wrong place since they say they can reach 6 feet tall
what a cool history this lily has though
not sure what is crossed with or anything
but this will me the first bulb that I hope in scale sometime...........might have to let it establish first in the garden.......
but very very pretty and unique
and I understand he was very instrumental in OT and this was one of the first ones out there at the time when Leslie Woodriff was created...

I love the OT that are have the white outer parts and the deep burgundy centers
sounds like it has also green throats.........

You are right!

I had to check it in our PDB, because it (unfortunately) is not available in Chile. Good luck with all your lilies!

'Leslie Woodriff' is one of those "indestructible" lilies. It was bred by Dr. Robert Griesbach and is 'Tetra Black Beauty' x 'Tetra White Henryi'.

I have yet to kill one or have one get diseased. I can't say that about many of my other lilies.

It is a Tetra. I have crossed it with other Griesbach seedlings and should have a few in bloom this year.
