Great, it would be nice to promote bees. I can easily make a banner. How do I submit it? Are there instructions somewhere?

Tree mail Dave for instructions. He's posted that information somewhere but I haven't found it yet.

He loves bees so I'm sure he'll be happy to have a banner of them.

I was looking for info too. I did find a forum called "Site Banners" but all it says is the: Banners must be exactly 150 pixels high and at least 1,200 pixels wide. How you get them that size? not sure.

That's what I read. I took it to mean that us regular folk are not included.

BUT.......I bet Margaret would post a banner if we did a nice one.

I took a look at the banner image sizes posted in the banner forum and they're all over the place when it comes to sizes. I took one that was posted recently and used it as a template.

Here's a couple I came up with. Anybody else want to make some too?

These are 150x1200, which is the size posted in the banners forum, but they look smaller when opened in this forum. Also, you have to open them up to see them as banners.

I am pretty sure Dave changed the size of the banner picture which was what I was looking for and didn't find. He is the one who does the banners so I think he plays around with them for the best effect.

That's why I said Tree mail him for information because anyone can submit a picture for the banners but only Dave or Trish can put them up. I know fot those who aren't good with making banners you can email the original picture to Dave and he will do it.

Give it a try and see what he says.

Tabby, both are superb banners; in fact if I had to chose --- I simply couldn't.

I'm POSITIVE anyone can submit a banner photo.

Thanks Ann that was the one I was looking for. He had changed the size of the banners but I couldn't find that post to save my life.

Tabby if it's already banner size you can tree mail it to him for approval.

Sure thing Margaret! LOL! I couldn't find the OTHER thread! And yes, I think the size for the banner photos has changed several times. I can't figure out how to change the size of my photos even if I had one nice enough to submit!

I think tabby should submit BOTH. Dave can always run one & then in say 6 months run the other one!

Um, I think the banner photos are supposed to be sent directly to Dave at his regular email --- at least that's what I understood him to say in the thread. His email is:

Good Tabby. As for my photos I wouldn't know which to pick for a banner and am almost hopeless as anything to do with photo stuff. Most of the pictures of the bees are my husband;s not mine. I have some new ones but am putting some in an article so you all can't see them yet.,
