Cinta, I will be glad to send you some cuttings this fall if you want to pot some up and grow them over the winter. Do you have a window you could put them in or a llight stand? I don't enjoy taking care of the cuttings but it sure save on the money. I usually look for 2 or 3 new ones each year but otherwise just keep the old ones going.

Trailing Plum is my favorite trailing one. It is growing on the bottom level of the stacking containers in the photos above. Trails down about 15" and cuttings root very easily. that one I could send you some rooted cutting of becauce I've started lots of little ones from pieces I've broken off.

The only problem I have in my garden or in my pots is those little green worms that eat the leaves. I think we have to many birds that take care of the bugs.

I would love some cuttings Susan. I bring some in every year. I had a few survivors last winter. I put them in a old fish tank that I know longer use and kept the light on in the fish tank. Those did very good. The ones I had in pots very few survived but I did have a few from them.

None of the ones I picked up at the nursery lived. Go figure the expensive named ones died but the no names cheap'os did good. Rolling on the floor laughing

The days for these guys are numbered, have my cuttings but will hate to say good bye to this container. Flowers are great but look at the color here.

Yes, I take cuttings and overwinter the cuttings. Have 6 flats of cuttings started now that are still outside getting rooted. Wish I had a green house, but a south facing window does the job too.

Took these in the past week or so. Glad to hear all the info on saving cuttings. Mine did great two years ago, but I lost all of my 'mother plants' this winter. Looking forward to having the new green house this winter. I'm going to try it dig some of my favorite larger ones and being in the whole plants. Here are a few pics to share:

The ones on my porch I neglected this year due to some health issues, but they usually look like this:

Here's one of my garden traditions. Right about now, when nights are beginning to be a bit cool in my zone: snip tall sections off coleus, strip the bottom leaves, and put them in vases/jars as if arranging a bouquet. (Of course I root some cuttings to keep indoors for winter but there is so much great foliage left over.)
These make beautiful arrangements for fall! Add some mint and lemon balm cuttings for a dash of green as well.
If I keep changing the water and picking off dead leaves this can last a long time. Even lasts long enough to work them into decorations for thanksgiving and even my Christmas party. Especially the reddish and mostly green ones, they're great for Christmas.

The coleuses are so tall now! I have taken many cuttings but look how my two year old grandson is almost lost in the foliage!
Thumb of 2015-09-27/pirl/a8141d

Next year the coleuses will go farther to the sides of the garden, not at the edge of the path, so the dahlias will grow better.

Great looking coleus Pirl. sure wish they would be a little faster starting off, but at least they go out with a bang. May have to cut some some in a few days to take to the hospital where I work. Never thought about how long lasting they would be. Still cutting zinnias and taking them and the patients always comment on them.
