My Blue Trill has only one stalk and it has not increased. It also has only bloomed once. I guess it does not like Kentucky. Does yours have purple based foliage?

No foliage. Just a withered rhizome.

I checked on my potted irises and I don't know what happened. The fans had fallen over on several of them and they were turning brown. The rhizomes were not soft, or mushy...but once again they were spongy. I've had this happen in the ground before, but never in a pot. Nor never this many irises at once. Most of them were newly potted gifted irises too! Sad

I removed them from the pots, tossed the soil into the field and trimmed and cleaned them. What little is left of the rhizomes are currently soaking in diluted bleach. A lot of them the fans just fell right off. Sad

So there will be a list of the lost coming soon. Sad

I got a lot of work done in the garden yesterday. Cleared up the "worst" bed as far as weeds and such. Had lots of help from the family, which was a huge plus. Here is the list of "total" goners (meaning I lost it completely from my yard)

Boulevard Jazz
Chickasaw Sue
Chinook Winds
Clothed in Glory
Competative Edge
Cupid's Arrow
Drifting
Hi There Gourgeous
Terra del Fusco
Vapor

Other losses with some back ups:

Maria Malibran
Tennison Ridge
Innocent Star

all of this was rot loss.

Yeah, having to deal with those kind of issues takes the fun out of gardening, for sure.

Greg -- I can replace Clothed in Glory, if you like. I have Chickasaw Sue and Vapor -- don't know if they're dividable, but I can check?

Thanks Mary Ann. Let me know. They were in an area in which I lost 40% of the rhizomes to rot. I am going to move the rest (as most donm't look good) and try to fix the soil situation.

Little Tutu Turquoise has no green on it. The rhizome looks ok but no leaves. ???

Should I leave Tutu Turquoise along and see what happens or pot it and baby it? Anyone have a suggestion?

I'd leave it alone, my thinking is if you move it then it has to re-establish itself, and send out a new increase. If you leave it alone it only has one job and may be able to pull if off.

This year has been really hard in different areas for rot....I know I am worried about a few on the sales list but will deliver as many as I can or refund of course.

Starting today to dig
